JUNO 2 1/2 yrs old neutered male
Life on the streets is no joke! Handsome Juno can attest to that - he was fending for himself quite unsuccessfully until he was hunted and captured by animal control, a fate all too common for neglected Jindos. It must have been terrifying to him, but his capture ended up saving his life. The vet described him as halfway through death's door upon arrival. Doc advised immediate euthanasia.
Emaciated beyond belief and dehydrated for wayyyy too long, Juno was a wreck. But when we met this guy and saw his wagging tail and alert eyes giving off that spark, we knew we couldn't give him up without a fight. And our hopes were realized, because he made it through and recovered wonderfully.
Juno went on to live with a wonderful family, and to learn how to love again. But his time as a stray has taken its toll on him emotionally, and it still takes him a while to trust new people. He is naturally submissive and a shy guy, and he can hardly believe that the world isn't out to get him. Once he gets comfortable though, he enjoys the company of people although he will rarely sit still for a stranger to pet him - he has the Evasive Jindo Maneuvers down to a T. What really floats this guy's boat is other dogs - we will give top priority to homes with at least one other dog.
Juno bonds very strongly to other dogs, and their presence seems to be give him confidence and help him get settled. What can I say, he's a follower, not a leader!
A home without young children would be best, as Juno gets very fearful around them. Grabby hands, screaming voices = scary!

Roo - M - 5 yrs.
Roo was found as a stray, wandering the streets of San Pedro. He is around 5 years old and appears to be all Jindo (personality and looks wise). He has the best smile (as you can see below) ... but that is usually occurs when a tennis ball is in sight. He is very people friendly and likes children, but he will be best served as an only dog. He has a strong prey drive towards small animals and especially cats. I think he could be taught to get along with other dogs, but that would take a saavy owner that understands the complexities of introducing dogs and working with alpha personalities (which Roo has).

Twinkie - FOSTER HOME NEEDED - 1 yr. F
Twinkie is a vivacious 20 lb. Chihuahua mix pup who is just starting out in life and is full of joie de vivre. She spent a wonderful, fun-filled month with an adopter, but sadly, the declining health of her new person brought her back to us. During her first stint as a Jindo Project foster, Twinkie's foster mom created an individual blog where this confection of a canine just about charmed the pants off of everyone with her antics! Read it for your self at http://twinkiejp.blogspot.com/ and stay tuned for updates about this happy girl!
And if you think you've got what it takes to be a Jindo Project foster home and want to open your family's hearts to this hilarious diva, email us at volunteer@jindoproject.org!
Rolling requires skill and precision... here's me carefully beginning a really good one... wait for it...
There! Perfect execution I'd say!
Can someone photoshop that grass off my face? It's kind of embarrassing.

Mama Dog!: 6 yrs. F
Meet the tireless Mama of the famous, tailless, Jindo mix litter! We'd love to know who her one night stand was, as the puppies were born with varying lengths of tail, but Mama doesn't kiss and tell! Mama loves her people once she gets to know them and has a very traditional Jindo temperament in her laid-back way. She's a little confused about life these days, and if you could get inside her head, I'm sure she'd say, "What? Me? Live INSIDE the house with you? WITH people? You mean... you ACTUALLY like me??" Yes, Mama, we LOVE you! Still learning about the mystifying ways of humans, Mama is content to sit back and check things out with a humorous little expression on her sweet face. Super chill and laidback, Mama gets that life is all about the ride and not the destination! She'd even be perfect for a house OR an apartment as she's perfectly housebroken like a typical Jindo and has low energy needs in her middle age. This plump furry little cutie just wants to kick back, relax, and enjoy her vacation from being the best Mama ever!
"Oh you mean those puppies to my left? I'm just going to look this way and pretend they don't exist..."
Goldie: 10 mos. F
Goldie is the princess and don't you forget it! Sweet as sugar and with a heart as soft as butter. She loves to play with her brothers and other dogs, but adores sitting with her family and getting her fuzzy little tummy rubbed. Bad guys beware, as this baby girl has all the makings of a first-rate watchdog! Goldie says, "Well, SOMEONE'S got to keep an eye out for our humans and the BOYS definitely aren't going to do it!"
"I can also do this cool trick with my tongue!"
*Normally, all of Mama's puppies have completely erect ears, but they were so excited during the photoshoot that they all pinned them back. Probably to be more aerodynamic should an oppurtunity arise to kiss someone's face.
Stubbs: 10 mos. M
"Hi! Play with me? Pet me? Love me?"
Man, just look at that face! How can you resist? Stubbs is the "baby boy" of Mama's almost all growed up litter and just wants somebody to love and be loved by. Full of laughter and fun, he is an absolute teddy bear and submissive to all other dogs. If you're looking for just a big cuddly sweetheart of a dog, you've found him! Bright as anything and eager to please, it won't be hard for him and his wiggly stubby tail to find his way into your heart!
"Wait - you're leaving?"
"I wanna come too! Get this heavy human off me!"
