JUNO 2 1/2 yrs old neutered male
Life on the streets is no joke! Handsome Juno can attest to that - he was fending for himself quite unsuccessfully until he was hunted and captured by animal control, a fate all too common for neglected Jindos. It must have been terrifying to him, but his capture ended up saving his life. The vet described him as halfway through death's door upon arrival. Doc advised immediate euthanasia.
Emaciated beyond belief and dehydrated for wayyyy too long, Juno was a wreck. But when we met this guy and saw his wagging tail and alert eyes giving off that spark, we knew we couldn't give him up without a fight. And our hopes were realized, because he made it through and recovered wonderfully.
Juno went on to live with a wonderful family, and to learn how to love again. But his time as a stray has taken its toll on him emotionally, and it still takes him a while to trust new people. He is naturally submissive and a shy guy, and he can hardly believe that the world isn't out to get him. Once he gets comfortable though, he enjoys the company of people although he will rarely sit still for a stranger to pet him - he has the Evasive Jindo Maneuvers down to a T. What really floats this guy's boat is other dogs - we will give top priority to homes with at least one other dog.
Juno bonds very strongly to other dogs, and their presence seems to be give him confidence and help him get settled. What can I say, he's a follower, not a leader!
A home without young children would be best, as Juno gets very fearful around them. Grabby hands, screaming voices = scary!
